"I recently had my 2000 Ducati 996 in for the 18,000 mile service. Upon completion of the service, which included hanging some new parts, new tires, new chain and adjustment of the fuel/air mixture per cylinder, I took it out for a 60 mile test ride. I came here four months ago with the US Army to prepare for deployment to Iraq. Leigh and Jim K. helped me get a Multistrada and join the Ducati family. Now that I am leaving. Jim helped me sell the bike to a fellow from Holland who is coming here on vacation. Mario serviced the bike and kept it at the highest level of tune. I've been involved in sports retail since I was a kid (a LONG time ago). I've got to say that this was like stepping back in time, to a world when a person's handshake meant something, and customer service made you more of a part of a larger family than just someone to sell stuff to. This has got to be one of the best dealerships in the United States. The legacy of the two Jim's will live on through the present generation of employees. I'm looking forward to returning next year and to rejoining the "Letko Family." My deepest thanks to Leigh, Jim, and Mario for helping me have a great first experience riding a Ducati and to the members of M.A.D.O.G. for helping me appreciate what a great part of the US the Midwest is for riding. Even though I don't get to ride or race as much as I used to, when I walk through the Letko door it is like seeing friends and family. Jim L and Jim K should write a book on how to deliver outstanding customer service. I am glad to see Leigh taking over the helm, too. He grew up seeing how his Dad and Jim K ran their shop "the right way". He learned from the best. It is sad for our sport that none of the other cycle shops in town have a clue about delivering quality service...and lucky for us KTM folks that we have Letko, the shop that sets the standard!
